Isobel and Dan, originally from Vancouver, embarked on their latest adventure from their home in Valencia, Spain. Like two intrepid explorers, they sought thrills and discoveries wherever they roamed, from the sunny shores of Hawaii to the vibrant streets of Valencia. Their latest escapade, dubbed “Isobel and Dan’s Excellent Asia Adventure,” whisked them away to the mystical lands of Cambodia and Vietnam, with a couple of pit stops along the way that added spice to their journey.

Join Isobel and Dan on their whirlwind adventure across the enchanting lands of Cambodia and Vietnam, with pit stops in the opulent realms of Qatar and the vibrant city-state of Singapore. As they journeyed through these diverse destinations, they encountered tales of extreme wealth, cultural marvels, and poignant reflections on history.

Their adventure began in Qatar, a place where luxury knows no bounds. Isobel couldn’t get enough of the lavish hotels and streets cooled by the breeze of air-conditioning vents. But what really caught her eye? Falcons! Yes, you heard that right. These majestic birds are like royalty here, with dedicated accessory stores and even a falcon hospital. Move over, cats and dogs—there’s a new pet in town!

Next up was Singapore, the shopping haven of Southeast Asia. Isobel and Dan were blown away by the glitzy stores and jaw-dropping prices (an $18 beer? Yikes!). But amidst the shopping frenzy, they couldn’t help but admire Singapore’s commitment to staying green, with vertical gardens sprouting up everywhere like nature’s skyscrapers.

Then came Cambodia, where they dived headfirst into the rich history of Siem Reap. From the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor to the somber reminders of the Khmer Rouge regime in Phnom Penh, their journey was a rollercoaster of emotions. Isobel was particularly moved by the resilience of the Cambodian people and their determination to preserve their history for future generations.

Crossing over into Vietnam, they found themselves amidst the chaos of Saigon’s bustling streets. Dodging motorbikes left and right, they explored the city’s vibrant markets and sampled delicious street food along the way. But it wasn’t all fun and games; they also delved into the country’s complicated past, from the Cu Chi tunnels to the War Remnants Museum in Hanoi, they confronted the scars of war and the enduring spirit of a people determined to move forward.
